An old man is proud,
but behind his modest smile lies the grief
Only one picture of his brave son remains
It seems that the vicious circle can never be broken through
The hopeful ones gathered their strength to achieve the apparent impossible
but all plans seem to be in vain
As a soldier of Allah he’s an example
for the others on his bloody way to immortality
It seems that the vicious circle can never be broken through
Because old wounds are reopened every time
This Intifada as a device to thwart the peace negotiations
He can rely on a reward in the hereafter
Eternal paradise awaits him
Pugnacity
With our blood
Show no mercy
With our soul
Die for heaven
An eye for an eye
Burn to let them...
Suffer for all their actions
We will not move an inch
They won’t play in our hands
We will not tolerate those who defy
We will not hesitate
To start an attack if,
you undermine the agreement
Let them suffer
Stop to let them suffer!
Forlorn hope by After Forever (04:15)
I have created this video to encompany an emotional and beautiful song of my fave Dutch gothic
metalband After Forever, featuring the outstanding soprano of their singer Floor Jansen. This song
deals with the topic of the intifada and the conflict in the Middle East, however it does not side
with any party, but is meant to make you think about who is the one suffering in the end. It
features an excerpt of a speech by Yitzhak Rabin, winner of the Noble Prize for Peace who was
muderdered in ...
I have to say this mate. Nearly everything that can be put into words have an agenda behind them. From the most trivial thing as a tourist brochure, a magazine article promoting a certain place (accompanied by a commercial of a hotel in the same place) to other larger things.
Songs, as far I I think, is another form of words being incorporated into musics. They, also, have an agenda behind them. Or at least, what the people write them think.

This song is great in terms of beat, voice, etc.
Obviously, the lyrics are biased. Any kid straight out of high school can realise that the song implies the message of peace is constantly broken by these "soldiers of Allah"..I think there is blame on BOTH sides because both sides have been brainwashed to a certain extent. Music is not supposed to be biased, hence this songs rating has dropped for me.

Not exactly. The first Intifada was stone throwing but the second one is with guns. The Palestinians are the one to make the difference.
The video shows all sides, from both "sides". In both sides some wants the war, and some against it.

The lyrics seems to take a ''pro-Israel'' view, and suggests that the war only continues because of the Intifada. That's just not true. The Intifada were mostly very young men who thew stones at tanks etc and were gunned down.
